Embassy Suites LaVista - Michael Israel

Thumbs Up for Embassy Suites La Vista

Embassy Suites La Vista is a substantial events venue and comfortable hotel who worked well with us to support the March of Dimes.

With Hurricane Matthew threatening to blow us away before we left and canceling on March of Dimes, not on our list of options, we decided to show up early. This would have sent many hotels into a frantic scramble. That was certainly not the case here. They found rooms for us and made sure that our every need was met. We just cannot say enough good things about this facility.

I’m grateful we avoided the hurricane and raised over $50,000 for the critical mission that the March of Dimes undertakes of helping to prevent birth defects, premature births and lower the risk of infant mortality.

My team is always a bit apprehensive before each event as we ship about 20 boxes of supplies and irreplaceable equipment to the venue for my show in order to save charities having to provide these items. Sometimes it takes many phone calls trying to get someone to confirm that the venue has received our shipment in good condition. It was such a pleasant surprise when we received an email from Cameron, the catering manager, before we even asked, telling us that everything had arrived safely.

Over the course of my career, my team and I have stayed in many prestigious resorts where we were not as well cared for as we were here. The food here was remarkable. We enjoyed our La Vista Nines Restaurant and Bar, and the breakfast buffet featuring fresh eggs, bacon, sausage and a wide variety of fruit. If we lived in the area, we would definitely return on a regular basis. The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. In fact, it was free and on par with $30 buffets at luxury resorts.

If you do shows or presentation in ballrooms, then you know that seating arrangements can sometimes be difficult and getting the catering department to cooperate can be even more difficult. We made some special requests and they were so graciously taken care of without having to ask twice. We also made asked about using the house lighting and adding some extra speakers and it was handled perfectly.

Our the show and fundraising were made so much easier by the staff throughout the hotel and convention center.
