ORGINAL “SPEED PAINTER” MICHAEL ISRAEL TO PERFORM WITH TUCSON ARIZONA BOYS CHORUS
International artist to headline Masterpiece Musicale at Hacienda del Sol Friday, November 3
TUCSON, AZ – International artist and the original “speed painter” Michael Israel will make his Tucson debut Friday, November 3 at the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus annual fall fundraiser. This year’s Masterpiece Musicale celebrates the chorus’ 78th anniversary season, and all funds raised at the event benefit the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus (TABC) and its ongoing mission to provide quality music education, citizenship, and leadership skills to boys ages 6-18.
The Masterpiece Musicale will take place at the historic Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in the property’s premier event space, the Casa Luna Ballroom. The evening begins at 6:00 with (heavy) appetizers, cocktails, silent auction, music, and more. Later, attendees will be treated to a custom dessert – a create your own masterpiece of sorts. The show will begin soon thereafter, with the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and Michael Israel taking the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime show, where visual and musical art combine. Afterward, the original paintings that Michael creates during the show will be sold at a live auction.
The internationally-renowned Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus was founded in 1939 by Eduardo Caso and proudly wears the moniker of “Singing Goodwill Ambassadors.” The chorus has sung around the globe – from Canada to South Africa – and has performed at iconic US locations, including the White House, Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall. This fall, boys from the chorus will perform in Arizona Opera’s Tosca, and the entire Touring Chorus will perform Bernstein: Kaddish Symphony with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra in January 2018.
