Well, it was too good to be true, Sly’s turning down Donald Trump’s offer to run the National Endowment for the Arts.
Somewhere, Chuck Norris’ phone is ringing.
The “Rocky” star said he’d rather help veterans.
“I am incredibly flattered to have been suggested to be involved with the National Endowment of the Arts,” Stallone said Sunday in a statement, according to the New York Post. “However, I believe I could be more effective by bringing national attention to returning military personnel in an effort to find gainful employment, suitable housing and financial assistance these heroes respectfully deserve.”
If someone would’ve done that for John Rambo, that town in Washington might still be standing.
It not clear whether Stallone, 70, is seeking another job with the Trump administration to accomplish his goal, of if he would do it on his own.
